With the New Year just around the corner I'm sure that everyone is making their list of resolutions, and if your list is anything like mine losing pounds and getting into shape is at the top of it. I have been trying to think of a way to stay motivated for longer than a week. In my life it has alway sbeen competition that motivated me to trim the fat, but since wrestling isn't really an option right now i have come up with a new friendlier competition. Camie and I would like to start our own family edition of the biggest loser, and we would like to konw how many people would be interested in participating.

This is the way i envision things working. We would like the official start date to be the First of January, I have set up this blog which will be for participants only as a way for people to report progress and keep up to date on weekly/monthly challenges.

The first challenge is to get your picture posted.

By Saturday January 9 I would like everyone that is participating to post a current photo on the blog. This photo will be you're before picture. Along with the photo you if would like to post your current weight and your future weight you can do so but it is not mandatory.

Every sunday i will be posting a new weekly challenge, and on the first Sunday of the month i will also be posting a monthly challenge. Any and all ideas for challenges are welcome. The following are just some ideas of what challenges could be. Once i talk ot everyone that wants to participate i will have a better idea of what poeple want to do.

Examples of weekly challenges
  • Complete 10 miles in a week
  • Record our mile time and improve it
  • Go a week without dessert of any kind

Examples of Monthly Challenges

  • Who can run the most
  • Who can go the longest without soda

Now it wouldn't be a competition without a prize but i need some help figureing out what it should be. I also need some imput on who should recieve prizes. Does the person that loses the most weight get the prize or does the person that completes the most challenges or do they both.

Please let me know if you are interested ASAP so i can start to work out the details.
